Civil Disobedience

This thesis will investigate what, if anything, can make civil disobedience morally justified. In doing so, it will first have to settle definitional problems and engage in critical analysis of the work of thinkers such as John Rawls, David Lefkowitz, Joseph Raz, Ronald Dworkin et al.

Possible questions: What conditions should an act fulfill for it to count as civil disobedience? When, if ever, is civil disobedience morally justified?
