Mónica Cano Abadía
Mónica Cano Abadía holds a B.A. (2009) and an M.A. (2010) in Philosophical Studies from the University of Zaragoza (Spain). She obtained a PhD in Philosophical Studies from the University of Zaragoza in 2014.
She is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies – South East Europe (University of Rijeka) since September 2017 with the research project “Risky Vulnerability. The Rise of Neo-Fascist Discourses and the Possibilities of Political Transformation in Judith Butler”. She is also a member of the Research Group “Justice, Citizenship, and Vulnerability” (University of La Laguna, Spain).
Since July 2018 Mónica Cano Abadía is a University Assistant with Doctorate at the Section of Political Philosophy (Institute of Philosophy, University of Graz).
In addition to lectures and publications focusing on Western feminist theory and queer theory, she has written on new materialisms, global justice, and posthuman critical theory.
