Romina Fontalini Rekers is a Ph.D. candidate in Law at the Córdoba National University and CONICET doctoral fellow of the Argentine Council of Scientific and Technical Research. She received her LLM in law at Cordoba National. Her line of research deals with the political legitimacy of criminal justice systems based on republican political theory. Specifically, it deals with the participation of the community in the determination of punishment, citizen control over criminal policies, police encounters and racial discrimination.
At the blocked colloquium workshop, she presented her paper "Discretion and popular control: some republican notes".
