Zeit: Mi 27.03. 2019, 19:00 Uhr
Ort: UR 09.51, Heinrichstraße 26, 8010 Graz, Institut für Philosophie

Abstract:  Jean-Luc Nancy represents one of the most intrigant thinkers of contemporaneity and one of the most significant followers and successors of Jacques Derrida's thought. Range of his thought is comprehensive and covers analysis of movies, paintings, religion, politics, literature, psychanalysis and social theory. Central subject of his thought is concept of inoperative community – idea that community has not higher purpose neither is enclosed nor finished. Inoperativeness means that there is no exclusive community or relation nor priority of one (community or relation) over the other. There is only plurality of communities (relations) that are not finished nor mutually fused, but intertwined and co-exist simultaneously.

Wir freuen uns auf Ihr Kommen!
