Since 2012 I have been working at the Department of Ethical and Civic Education, Faculty of Education of Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia as lecturer, assistant professor. I studied Social Philosophy and Applied Ethics at the Faculty of Arts Matej Bel University. Since my doctoral studies of Systematic Philosophy I have been dealing with the analysis of values and respect in environmental philosophy.
My publications and research activities are nowadays focused especially on various issues related to environmental ethics and ethical education (eg. co-editor of forthcoming monograph ´Ethical Education Across European Systems: Concepts, Practices, Dilemmas´; co-author of monograph ´Selected Approaches to Environmental Ethics in V4 Countries´; co-editor of proceedings ´Environmental Ethics in V4 countries´) . In 2016 I lead a successfull international project 11610045 Visegrad fund - Selected Approaches to Environmental Ethics in V4 Countries. I am currently involved in several research projects e.g. international project 2017-NL01-KA201-035219 Erasmus + COMET- ´A Community of Ethics Teachers in Europe´ where I serve as a national curator for Slovakia and researcher and national projects VEGA, APVV focused on various aspects of ethical education.
I had a chance to undertake several study, research or lecture stays abroad for instance in Finland (Helsinki University of Helsinki- Summer School- Introduction to Bioethics, University of Turku- Finnish government scholarship), Poland (University of Maria Sklodowska Curie, Lublin, Erasmus; Institute of Ecology and Bioethics UKSW, Warszawa- Erasmus+, lecture stay), Portugal (University of Coimbra - Erasmus lecture stay) and Ireland (St Patrick's College, Dublin City University, Erasmus +).
