Franz Brentano Archive
The Franz Brentano Archive Graz currently houses the largest collection of analog and digital documents from the estate of Franz Brentano. The archive was founded in 2010 as part of the Research and Documentation Center for Austrian Philosophy established by Rudolf Haller and integrated into the Department of Philosophy at the University of Graz in 2011. The main aim of the archive is to make all documents from Brentano's estate accessible to the scientific public and thus promote research on the work of this important philosopher and provide a secure basis for it. A particular concern of the archive is the execution of a critical edition of both the philosophical manuscripts and Brentano's scientific correspondence.
Research and Documentation Center for Austrian Philosophy
The Research and Documentation Center for Austrian Philosophy, founded in 1982 by Rudolf Haller, has set itself the task of documenting philosophy in Austria as well as carrying out and supervising research and academic projects in this field. The Center's most important areas of work are the collection, maintenance and publication of the estates of Austrian philosophers, the editing of philosophical texts and the documentation of philosophical events in Austria. To this end, the Center maintains an archive specifically geared towards Austrian philosophy with bequests and other collections relating to philosophy and institutional history, a special library with supplementary estate libraries and online platforms.
