Bachelor Philosophy
The Bachelor's degree is intended as a scientific professional training and serves as a basis for taking up a profession in politics, society and business that is also oriented towards philosophy, as well as a first starting point for an academic career in the field of philosophy.
Master's degree in Philosophy
The Master's degree provides a sound academic education in philosophy. It is intended as an academic professional training, both for the pursuit of a career in politics, society and business that is also oriented towards philosophy and as a basis for an academic career in the field of philosophy.
It is possible to acquire additional qualifications or certificates.
For admission as a non-consecutive Master's program, an application for admission to the Master's program must be submitted.
Master's degree in Political, Economic and Legal Philosophy
The Master's course is run in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Matthias Klatt (Philosophy of Law) and Prof. Dr. Richard Sturn (Finance), among others. The degree is an MA in Philosophy. Prof. Dr. Johann Marek, Prof. Dr. Lukas Meyer and Prof. Dr. Harald Stelzer were responsible for the conception and organization.
It is possible to acquire additional qualifications or certificates.

Master's program in Applied Ethics
The three philosophy institutes of the Faculties of Humanities, Catholic Theology and Law are equally involved in this Master's program. On the part of the Institute of Philosophy of the Humanities, Dr. Dr.h.c. Daniela Camhy, Prof. Dr. Lukas Meyer and Prof. Dr. Sonja Rinofner-Kreidl contributed to the conception of this program. Prof. Dr. Peter Ebenbauer (Catholic Theology), Prof. Dr. Esterbauer and primarily Assistant Professor Hans-Walter Ruckenbauer were responsible for the conception and organization.
Teacher training in psychology and philosophy
The subject of the teacher training program for psychology and philosophy at the Faculty of Natural Sciences together with the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Graz is the professional training to become a teacher at secondary schools in subject-specific, subject-didactic and pedagogical (including school practice) terms and serves, among other things, to acquire the qualifications necessary for the teaching profession at secondary schools and to fulfill the educational tasks set out in the curricula.

Doctorate in Philosophy
The doctoral degree program in Philosophy basically serves to prepare students for their academic careers in the humanities and cultural studies, to prepare them for the ability to contribute to the development of the humanities through independent research and to train young academics in the humanities (cf. Uni-StG Par. 2 Par. 2 Z. 2). An in-depth academic qualification is acquired in particular by writing a dissertation. The doctorate in philosophy qualifies graduates for careers in various professional fields, especially in scientific institutions and projects, in public and private administrations of all kinds, in the media, in knowledge and art management and in knowledge transfer.
